Our aminos with nine essential, one semi-essential and two non-essential amino acids as well as AstraGin® and vitamin B6 provide you with the support you need for maximum performance and regeneration in strength and endurance sports. Before we look at this in detail, let's first clarify what amino acids and EAAs are all about. Amino acids are the basic building blocks of proteins. They play an important role in almost all biological processes in the human body. A distinction is made between essential and non-essential amino acids. Nine of the 21 amino acids are called essential amino acids - the EAAs (Essential Amino Acids). Why essential? Because our body cannot produce them itself, so they must be ingested through food. These include: leucine, isoleucine, valine, lysine, methionine, threonine, phenylalanine, tryptophan and histidine.

We have combined these and three additional amino acids, AstraGin® and vitamin B6, in our aminos. Why? You will find out if you read on.

So we've added the nine essential amino acids, also known as EAAs, that are crucial for muscle repair, building, recovery and general well-being to our ESN Aminos. They can promote muscle protein synthesis and recovery after training, especially when combined with carbohydrates. For this, we recommend taking the aminos with our Cyclic Dextrin.

In addition, studies have shown that they can improve endurance performance by delaying fatigue and optimizing energy supply during prolonged exercise (Rasmussen et al., 2000).

In addition to these EAAs, our formula contains three other effective amino acids that are particularly interesting for athletes: L-cysteine, L-tyrosine and L-glycine. They are said to have a positive effect on regeneration: cysteine ​​for the repair of tissue, glycine for the repair of structures as a key component of collagen and tyrosine for increasing performance and for stress resistance. We have completed our aminos with AstraGin® and vitamin B6: AstraGin® is said to improve absorption in the intestine, while vitamin B6 supports protein metabolism and energy production.
